HUDSONISM: UGH
Are you smarter than an "almost 5" year old?
Hudson: "Mom, what does 'UGH' mean?"
Me: "That is a great question. Like, "UGH" I didn't eat lunch today."
Hudson: "I know mom, you use it all the time, just want to know what it means."
Me: "I'm going to have to google that and see what I can tell you it means..."

HARPERISM: Let's Go!
Well. I have come to the realization that at age (almost 3) - my daughter is most likely going to be a cheerleader. Maybe my intuition is wrong...but I doubt it.
Her new favorite phrase walking around the house.
Let's Go, Let's Go, L-E-T-S, G-O!
God help me. :)

HUDSONISM: I love salad!
Ok, so funny story. When I met my hubby, I found out he didn't like lettuce, and never....EVER. . . ate it. So - to my surprise, when we got serious, he finally gave in to me begging him to try it again and he has loved it ever since.
Fast forward to my own children (who aren't SUPER picky) but due to having a mother (me) not cook, and laziness, and our bad habits of eating out ALOT, it has kind of got to the point of me finding out they are actually picky.
The past couple weekends we have been over at friends, and for like the first time in 4 and 1/2 years, I haven't been the one making the plates for the kids. They are always great about eating fruits, veggies, meat, and all the food groups...but just like a lot of kids, it's a diet of chicken nuggets, hot dogs, grilled cheese, pasta, mac and cheese and peanut butter sandwiches.
Today on the way home from school I had a talk with Hudson. We spoke about how exciting it is to try new things and while he doesn't have to LIKE them all the time, it's important that even though it might be a teeny, tiny bite, he should still try it. So, he agreed, and came home and told daddy the plan and asked for salad tonight for dinner.
I gave him a few pieces of lettuce in some ranch...and then it happened. He stuck his fork in a leaf and stuck it in his mouth. He didn't spit it out, but swallowed it and looked at me, and said, "Mom, I love salad!"
I had a great work today, but I had an even better mom day today. I love you little man.
(In case you were wondering, Harper did try it b/c her big brother did, but she spit it out and let us know she would not be eating salad anytime soon.)

HUDSONISM: Breathing treatment
Breathing treatments = mini hospitals.
They rock. My kids love them, I love them. So when Hudson got a bad, deep cough the other day, he got up and asked if he could do a breathing treatment before school. I got busy making lunches and forgot.
Hudson looks at us and says, "I haven't got my breathing treatment yet? Whatsup with that?"
Lets just say that was unexpected. Silly kid.

HUDSONISM - Robot
"Mom, how about this? We get a really big robot, and we get the robot to lift up our house, then we put the robot and the house on a plane and fly to the beach. Once we get there, the robot can just help us set the house on the beach and then we can live there. I think that sounds like a good plan." - Huds
